 The Importance of Self Care When Caring for a Child with Special Needs
A Caregiver is someone who cares for a family member, or friend, living with challenges due to illness, disability, or old age.
This interactive presentation will give insight and share ideas to help you fulfill your care giving requirements without losing yourself in the process. Services and community resources that can help make caregivers’ lives a little less difficult will also be discussed.
Presented by Anna Mann & Patti Thomas Lowe.

Our Parent Information Series are organized on the fourth Wednesday of the month. They are on topics of interest to parents or teachers of children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD.

Adult Support Group

Learning Disabilities and Relationships
Maintaining a good relationship is difficult for everyone, and even more so for someone with a learning disability. This session will talk about challenges that people with a learning disability might face, and discuss tips and tricks around how to maintain a satisfying long-term relationship with your partner.
This group is specifically designed for adults to come together in an open and supportive environment where you can share stories, strategies and resources, ask questions and form meaningful LD community bonds. This group is co-facilitated by a registered psychologist. Come expecting to support and be supported.
